In the late 1940s and through the 1950's, this 16”x20” print of Joe Rosenthal’s Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima was signed by more than seventy officers and enlisted men — a rare, nearly impossible convergence of history and humanity. Each signature tells its own story — a name once stitched to a uniform, now preserved in ink.

When the photo surfaced decades later, it was brought to Washington, where our licensed digital signature expert and historical team began a painstaking, hand-guided restoration.
